Clean-Seas is leveraging innovative technology to respond to the challenge of dealing with the global waste plastic problem reliably and responsibly. The Company uses post-use plastic (PUP) as feedstock for pyrolysis, a process that yields usable products without producing harmful greenhouse gases (GHG).

The Company aims to divert PUP from landfills, incinerators, and oceans, and convert it into usable environmentally friendly products, including oils that drive the circular economy and clean hydrogen.

Clean-Seas is a pioneer in the field of plastic circularity, dedicated to confronting the global plastic waste crisis.

Solutions

Plastic Conversion Network

The PCN is a patent pending system for efficiently moving waste plastic and converting it into environmentally friendly, value-added products, minimizing pollution and the use of landfills or incineration.

The PCN was established as a solution to China’s National Sword Policy in 2018, when it effectively closed its borders to accepting recyclable material from the developed world.  International and regional conventions have placed increasingly stringent restrictions on the movement of hazardous waste, which includes plastic. More and more developing countries are refusing to accept the plastic shipped from developed Western nations.

It is clear that a better solution than shipping containers full of PUP around the globe, whether openly or illegally, is for waste plastic to be recycled where it is generated. And that is exactly what Clean-Seas aims to do with the Plastic Conversion Network.

The PCN will address both the waste and logistics problems efficiently and responsibly. The system provides clean tech jobs in host locales, while keeping thousands of tonnes of waste plastic out of landfills and oceans. The PCN facilitates the conversion of feedstock into usable commodities without emitting greenhouse gases.

When fully realized, the network will divert the world’s post-consumer and post-industrial waste plastic and connect it to conversion facilities strategically located as close to the source of the feedstock as possible.

Inadequate processing infrastructure, few processing locales, changing laws and conventions, as well as political circumstances imperil what is already a deficient response to a global problem.

Clean-Seas has a solution to the waste plastic problem that goes beyond simple recycling. The Company has developed a model that facilitates circularity within the plastic industry and capitalizes on the growing waste-to-value market. Clean-Seas is optimizing innovative technology to resolve complex and multi-layered environmental challenges while generating positive financial returns for stakeholders.

PUP recycling across the globe is facing unprecedented challenges, while also presenting an enticing opportunity.

Areas of Focus

Clean-Seas addresses the plastic waste crisis by diverting plastic from landfills and incineration and converting it into chemical precursors.

Divert and Convert

01

The Circular Plastic Economy follows plastic from creation to end use where it is then chemically recycled to create new plastic.
